Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Step Into your child’s world - Celebration of Learning, Thursday, 26th March
Remember the magic of our last event in October? We’re excited to see you in school once again! We invite you to spend 1–2 hours with us, experiencing school life through your child’s eyes.
This is a wonderful opportunity to:
Discover exactly what your child has been working on and celebrate their progress together.
Meet with both class and specialist teachers alongside your child to reflect on their learning.
Revisit your child’s favourite places in the school, including the Library, which will be hosting another of our famous book fairs—always a highlight of the day!
Don’t miss out! Please remember to book your slot early. Refer to APP messages this and next week. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back for this important event.
Stakeholder Survey
Have you filled in the Kennedy School Stakeholder Survey yet? So far we only have a 4% completion rate! Please contribute as your voice matters. Details as follows:
Time: Approx. 5 minutes
Closing Date: Friday 13 March
Important things to note:
We have switched the survey provider to SurveyMonkey.
Like last year, we have sent the survey to both Parents/guardians listed on Gateway.
Like last year, depending on the parent's email provider, the email with the survey link may land in your Spam folder. This is a known issue that is outside of our control. Parents should look for an email titled "2026 ESF Stakeholder Survey".
Behaviour Management Coffee Morning for Helpers
On Thursday 12 March (8.30 to 9.30 am), Steff Ho, an educational psychologist from the ESF Centre, will come to Kennedy School to deliver a collaborative and engaging session for domestic helpers on the topic of behaviour management. The session will be held at the staff room and provide practical strategies and insights to support positive behaviour in children, with a focus on building understanding and confidence among those in caregiving roles. If this is of interest, please sign up HERE.
Farewell to Blake Nari - EA 4D
On Friday, we farewell Blake Nari who has been a wonderful addition to our team and a great bus escort too. Blake will be moving on to a new career outside of education and we wish him well. Gurmeet Dalip Singh (EA from 4K) will move across to support 4C for the rest of the year. A new EA will be appointed for 4K and one of our experienced supply EAs will cover until this appointment is secured.
Kind regards,
Brenda

ECA Weather updates
Please note that we do try to give parents as much notice as possible and yet wait for the very latest weather forecast information before making a decision on whether a club is cancelled. This may mean a late night email to parents or a message before 6.15am on the morning of the club. Please ensure that you check your messages before setting out for a morning club.
ECA Attendances
Please note that it is an expectation that parents inform us of your child’s absence prior to the club taking place. Please ensure that you message the lead teacher of the sports club to confirm that your child is absent. If your child is absent from a sports club without a valid reason on more than two occasions it will be assumed that your child is no longer taking part in this club. Many of our sports clubs are over subscribed and we want as many people to benefit from these sporting opportunities as possible. If your child is no longer going to take part in a club we want to pass on the opportunity to another willing student.
Running Updates
Unfortunately due to the weather we were not able to have our running session yesterday morning. This means that next Wednesday’s training session will be our final trial before the race at Discovery College on Saturday 14th March. We have not yet filled all of the race allocations for every one of the weekend races. If your child has been invited to train with us but you cannot wait until next week for confirmation of a place, please let me know and your child will not be considered for the HKPSSA Cross Country Championships race.
Rugby and Hockey
Good luck to our girls and boys Tag Rugby and Hockey teams as they play in their respective tournaments with the HKPSSA Island Tag Rugby Jamboree at Happy Valley on Friday and the HKPSSA Hockey Championships at HKFC next Wednesday.
Student Highlight
Congratulations to Jennifer Tang (6P) and her team for their third place position in the World of Dance Competition,Hong Kong Dance Qualifiers! This competition is like the Olympics for dance, and Jennifer will represent Hong Kong in the Championship rounds in July 2026 at the Los Angeles Stadium.

NEW DATE for Whole School Dress Up Day from 13 March to 27 March.
On Friday, 27 March, our whole school will come together to celebrate Rainbow Day, proudly led by Year 3! Each year group will dress in a different colour to create a vibrant rainbow across our school:
Year 1: Purple
Year 2: Blue
Year 3: Green
Year 4: Yellow
Year 5: Orange
Year 6: Red
This joyful celebration will not only brighten our halls but also support a unique experience for Year 3. A $20 donation would be greatly appreciated to help raise funds. Let’s make Rainbow Day a colourful success together!
Community school projects by the PTA
Community projects are still developing on the East Wing roof! We’re creating a yarn crochet flower wall and a positive word wall. Donations of already‑made yarn flowers and any Scrabble or Bananagram letter pieces would be a huge help! Let’s fill that wall with colour, creativity, and community spirit! For more info or to donate email pta@kennedy.edu.hk Please drop your donations to the reception
