Dear Parents,
What a journey we have been on together this term! Despite all the bumps in the road, we have managed to finish for the holidays with 100% of children allowed to be back at school for half days ...at last!
All staff will continue the testing cycle over the holidays which means that we will be able to continue to welcome all the children in, every day until 1.00 pm, from Monday 12th April.
In the meantime, I would like to say a huge thank you to all staff, parents and children for their continued flexibility and support throughout this term and wish everyone a relaxing and well deserved Easter break.
Stay safe and see you in two weeks.
Kind Regards,
Debbie Sheward
Acting Principal

1) PTA Spell-A-Thon
The PTA is excited to introduce a school wide Spell-A-Thon!
All children will take part in a Spell-a-thon during the week of 26th April, after the Easter Break.
If they wish, they can motivate themselves by generating sponsorship to raise money for their school, whilst challenging themselves.
Here is the Sponsorship Form which you can print off at home.
Each yearband has a separate list of words and by clicking on the correct link below, you can also see how many words will be included on the actual Spell-A-Thon day.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki Rummun vrummun@kennedy.edu.hk
2) Introducing Steven Chen
As Emily, our PTA Administrator, will be relocating to the UK at the end of Term 2, please welcome Steven Chen who has joined us since this Monday. Steven is our Central Procurement Co-ordinator (Buses & Uniforms), who will be your day-to-day contact for all school bus related matters from now on.
Please email Steven via bus@kennedy.edu.hk for any of the following bus related matters:
* Your child will NOT be on the bus in the afternoon (but was on the bus in the morning) – this will save us trying to locate your child before the buses depart from school
* Your child did NOT come to school on the morning bus but WILL be on the afternoon bus going home – this will help make sure the buses will not depart without your precious one
* Playdates – these are an important element of your child’s social life, BUT please make sure you check with Steven for seat availability BEFORE confirming the arrangement as some of our buses are running at near or full capacity. Please do your best to email 48 hours in advance to allow ample time for processing.
We have spent over $10,000.00 on games and toys for all the year bands with the profits from our Bingo Night. A huge thank you for all who took part.

Laos Rugby Update
This week, the Year 5 and the Year 6 students were privileged to attend a virtual presentation with Laos Rugby. Joining us were the Chief Executive Officer of Laos Rugby, Vieng Souksavanh and her colleague Shilo Shalosky. Our guests explained the overview of the Champa Ban Rugby Programme as well as describing the impact that our donations of shoes and sponsorship of the Butterfly team were having on the Laos community.
We also saw at first hand the difference the Champa Ban programme was making to Youn Vonglorkham - click HERE
