Year 6 Exhibition

Congratulations to all of our Year 6 students! They hosted a very successful PYP Exhibition on Friday. This primary school event is a learning milestone for students and they proudly shared their passion, creativity and knowledge with parents and peers. The Year 6 classrooms were ‘buzzing’ - it was fantastic to have parents in school and to hear the students enthusiastically share their learning. Thank you to all of the Year 6 staff for their hard work with our Year 6 students.

General Road Safety Reminder

Please watch this short video (4 minutes) with your child over the weekend. It was made for the students as a reminder of how everyone needs to be safe on arrival at school. Your support is appreciated in this important area of care for our community.

Daily RAT result and temperature reminder

At this time, the upload of the daily RAT result and temperature record for all Kennedy School students is an EDB/ESF requirement. All Kennedy School students must have their daily RAT result and temperature uploaded in the ESF app no later than the start of the school day - 8.15 am.

From Monday 23 May, staff will no longer be making reminder phone calls to parents if their child’s RAT result and temperature record has been incomplete in the ESF App on three or more occasions. In these instances, parents will be contacted and the student with missing RAT result or temperature record in the ESF App will be sent home from school.

Kennedy Swimming

Students are enjoying the resumption of swimming. The Year 1s have been particularly excited about their first opportunity to join swimming lessons at Kennedy. The swimming coaches are excellent and they deliver wonderful lessons for all swimmers. Some of these coaches taught my daughters to swim (many years ago) and they all continue to impress me with their care, skills and professional approach.

These are $260 each and can be ordered on Gateway. Copies are limited!  

Once purchased, the books will be delivered to the students' classrooms in June.

Whole School Newsletter - 6 May 2022

A rash vest is highly recommended for sun protection. Swimming goggles are also recommended. Please ensure any goggles are measured to fit your child prior to their lesson to avoid your child losing pool time.

YEAR 6 TASTER DAY

6C and 6S class had an exciting morning at West Island School on Tuesday on their first taster day. Our students took part in a wide range of lessons in Spanish, Science, Music and Design Technology as well as a question and answer session with WIS students. We had such a great time and our students are very excited to start their secondary school life.

The taster day for 6N, 6R and 6W classes that was postponed due to last Friday's red rain has been rearranged to Wednesday 15th June.

Join us for a fun evening as our resident Quiz Masters, Mr Dray and Mr King, put us through our paces with fun and challenging questions - a touch of General Knowledge, Music, Movies to name but a few…………..

They are an excellent memento, particularly for anyone leaving Kennedy School at the end of this year.

All profits will go towards funding proposals designed to enhance the school experience for all.

4) PTA EGM - Tuesday 31st May, 3:30pm via Zoom

Please register to join us at our EGM which will focus on the PTA financials for the Year Ending 30 June 2021 and the appointment of our external auditors.

We need a minimum of 20 parents and staff to convene and would appreciate as many as possible registering to join us via Zoom.
