Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We Are Nearly There!
Wow! What a jam-packed term full of the most amazing experiences for the students. This week, we enjoyed lots of fun and celebrations, which the children loved.
The PTA Winter Wonderland evening was sensational. The children performed with joy and energy and sang beautifully. Our orchestra also showed talent playing challenging pieces. Many thanks to the PTA and volunteer parents for helping with the organisation and logistics. Thank you also to the staff who assisted with musical items, sound and lighting, set-up and the clean-up of the campus!
Merry Christmas, everyone! We hope you have a relaxing break. We know that the children and staff will enjoy recharging their batteries before the start of the new term, that’s for sure!

Possibility of Hot Lunch Meals
Many thanks for filling out the survey organised by the PTA indicating whether you would be interested in utilising a service like this for your child’s lunch. We are processing the information and reaching out to lunch providers and will be able to update you after the Christmas break.
Vaccine Pass Arrangement for Parents and Visitors
From 14 December 2022, the Government has lifted the requirement of scanning the LeaveHomeSafe venue QR code before entering school premises. Schools are no longer required to display venue QR codes for scanning purposes. However, the current Vaccine Pass arrangement remains unchanged.
EDB has stipulated that temperature screening and scanning of the vaccine pass to our school device are required for all visitors to school. If you are visiting the school for shows, meetings, classroom visits, exhibitions, etc, a RAT test is also needed before visiting the school.
Covid-19 Monitoring for Students
EDB/ESF have also confirmed that daily RATs, updates on the VLE and mask-wearing will continue for the students. We thank you for continuing with these anti-epidemic measures and please continue to upload your children’s vaccination and/or recovery records to the VLE.

House Points
At the end of Term 1, here is where we stand in our annual challenge for the title of House Champions of the Year.
1st place: Unicorns (2033 points)
2nd place: Lions (1899 points)
3rd place: Dragons (1812 points) (2021/22 Champions)
4th place: Phoenix (1759 points) (2020/21 Champions)
There are still 2 more terms to the year so there is still plenty of time for each house to take the lead.
Keep up the good work, everyone! May the best House win!
Tetra pak Collections
Thank you for bringing in clean, dry beverage cartons or tetra paks for recycling at Kennedy School. In Term 1, we saved 175 kg of cartons from the landfill. Well done everyone!
We will resume our Monday morning collections on 9 January 2023.
The end of the first term is upon us and we look forward to a few weeks of rest and reuniting family and friends.
I’d like to express my delight at what the PTA have been able to achieve for our community this term. Parent activities included Quiz Night, class parent get together and our first parent coffee morning. Children got to dress up and participate in our first ever Chinese-A-Thon and our annual Winter Wonderland Concert. Relive these moments in the photos and live stream links here.
