Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This weather is certainly unpredictable! We hope that this will be the last of our school suspensions for this term.
Thanks to the many families who have already attended the Chinese information evenings this week. We will continue with this series tonight and next week.
See you all soon - hopefully on a bright, sunny and low-humidity day! Am I wishing for too much?
See you all soon and don’t forget that it’s dress PINK day tomorrow.
Warm regards,
Brenda

Swimming Updates
Our swimming programme is going really well at the HKU pool. The current water temperature is regulated by HKU pool staff at a comfortable 28 degrees Celsius. If your child is particularly sensitive to cooler water, you may consider buying a slightly thicker swimsuit for him/her. These are available in many sports shops in Hong Kong.
Make up Swim Sessions
Please note that make up classes have been arranged for students who missed their swimming classes last Friday (8 Sep) due to school closures. These have been scheduled for Tuesday 17 October.
The make-up session for today's missed lessons (14 Sep) due to red rain will be on Wednesday 18 October.
Note also that the HKU pool will be closed on Friday 29 September. Classes scheduled on that day will have their lessons on Thursday 19 October.
Make up sessions are not offered for students who miss a swim session due to absence.

QUIZ NIGHT
Get ready for an incredible night at the highly anticipated Quiz Night! The tickets are selling FAST, so it's time to rally your team and secure your spot before it's too late.
Individual entries are also welcome as we can combine people too.
Please note that Quiz Night is exclusively for adults, ensuring a fun and engaging environment for all attendees. Prepare yourselves for an evening filled with laughter, excitement, and friendly competition.
Sign up for the event here.
We are still looking for a variety of prizes for quiz night, such as gift vouchers, gift sets, unique experiences, or anything else you think would be suitable for our event. We believe that incorporating items from small businesses would not only add value to the prizes but also support our local community. If you know of any small businesses that may be interested in donating prizes or if you have any items you would like to donate, please let us know.
If you would like to donate any prizes for this, or future fundraising events, please contact Cindy directly at cichen@kennedy.edu.hk

Yearband Led Dress Up Day - Friday 15th September
A final reminder - tomorrow is a whole school dress up day and Year 6 are in charge!
They have decided that the theme is for the whole school to come wearing PINK!
Pink represents compassion, kindness, empathy and understanding - which as everyone settles into their new routines at school is a wonderful focus.
Students and staff can come wearing clothing or accessories with any shade of pink - from a whole outfit to a T-shirt, a pair of socks….and anything in between.
On the day, please send your child with a suggested minimum donation of $20 which will be collected as students arrive at school. Year 6 will use the donations to organise a year group science activity.
(Younger year groups will decide the whole school theme throughout the year and also benefit from this fund raising initiative throughout the year, please help Year 6 on this occasion!)
