Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the cooler weather. The school looked colourful and vibrant today as we all dressed in bright Diwali-inspired clothing. We would like to extend a big thank you to all the students who performed or presented in assemblies this week, sharing their thoughts, traditions, customs, and dances related to Diwali. It was a wonderful experience, and we all learned so much!
Share Your Family's Celebrations
Just as we did with Diwali, we welcome families of all backgrounds and cultures to share their significant events, stories, and traditions. By doing so, we can learn more about each other's families within the school community. If your child or family is interested, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher or one of the senior management team members.
Festive Fair
What an incredibly popular event this has become! We are expecting well over 1200 people on Friday night between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Please refer to the PTA section of the newsletter for more details. The gates will open at 6:00 pm, so we kindly ask that you arrive at or after that time. Please have your e-ticket to show upon entry (preferably printed) or available on your phone for easy entry.
Aside from the amazing vendors who will be selling and promoting their wares, we have a special treat for you - live entertainment on the playground stage! The performances will feature a range of talented individuals and groups, including students, staff, and many more. We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow night to share in the fun and festive celebrations.
Excursions
A huge thanks to all of the parents who have been helping out on our school trips. Your help makes these experiences possible and we really appreciate it. Thank you!
School Uniforms
Please ensure your child is wearing the appropriate school uniform items. You can purchase these items online at the uniform shop.

Tennis Tournament at Harrow School
Last Friday, Kennedy School entered a team of tennis players to the Harrow School Year 5/6 Tennis Tournament. This was a great afternoon where our students were able to showcase their racquet sports ability. Our players performed brilliantly with wins, draws and defeats against strong opposition from Harrow School, ESF Quarry Bay School, Chinese International School and Discovery Bay International School.
Friendly Year 3/4 Football Festival
Our young footballers were in action this week playing friendly matches against ESF Glenealy School and Kellett School at Stanley Ho Sports Centre. There was some excellent football played in a very relaxed yet competitive spirit.
More Sports to Come
We look forward to hosting more friendly games for our footballers in a few weeks time in our last ECA club sessions for Term 1 on Tuesday 28 November 2023(Year 5) and Friday 1 December 2023 (Years 3 and 4).
And lastly, good luck next week to our Year 5/6 Netball Squad for their competition at Wong Chuk Hang and Year 5 Footballers at the tournament at Kings Park.
We are thrilled to share some exciting news about one of our teachers, Mrs Leigh Harris (3H)! We are proud to announce that she has been selected to represent our city in the prestigious Asian Continental Championship hockey tournament. This is a remarkable achievement, and we couldn't be happier for her.
The Asian Continental Championship is a highly competitive tournament that brings together some of the best hockey players from across the continent. Mrs Harris's selection is a testament to her talent, hard work, and determination. It is an incredible honour for her to be chosen as part of the national team, and we couldn't be prouder to have her represent our school and community at such an event.
We believe that Mrs Harris's participation in this tournament will not only inspire our students but also serve as a powerful example of what can be achieved through dedication and perseverance. It is a reminder that pursuing our passions outside of the classroom can lead to extraordinary opportunities and personal growth.
Once again, congratulations to Mrs. Harris on this incredible achievement! Let's rally behind her and demonstrate our school spirit as she competes in the Asian Continental Championship. We are confident that she will make us proud.
