Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Sports Day for Years 1/2 and Years 3/4 was a huge success today. The children were so excited to be part of such a fun event and supporting their House. A huge thank you to Mr Crompton and Mr Bogaerde for their impeccable organisation and set-up. Thank you to the parents who supported the event and to those who assisted with the class. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
Parent Consultations Live in school - Save the Date
Our next Celebration Of Learning consultations will take place in an open-day style at school on Tuesday 5 March 2024. More details and booking schedules will be shared over the next few weeks. We recommend you allocate about 60- 90 minutes to the process in school, with your child. The school timetable will be closed for this day and families will come in at dedicated times during the day for three-way conferences and to view learning in all areas of the school. No school buses will run on this day.
Chinese New Year
On Monday 5 February, we will run a Chinese Fun Carnival for all students. Children can wear casual clothes that day and can bring a $20 donation.
Next Thursday 8 February will be our whole school celebration. We ask that students wear Chinese-inspired clothing this day to make the event even more special.
We have a host of other events happening during the week. You will have already been informed if your child is participating.
We understand that many of you may be travelling to see family and friends over the CNY break. As a reminder, the school will close at 3 pm next Thursday 8 February. Please inform your child’s teacher if they will not be present at school that day.
ESF Year of the Dragon e-Card
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with our ESF Year of the Dragon e-card. This beautiful painting was created by eight-year-old Ines Lai, from ESF Clearwater Bay School. Ines’ art was selected by Chief Executive Officer Belinda Greer as part of the annual ESF-wide art challenge. We hope you will enjoy sharing this card with your friends and family. You can download it here.
Wishing you all a wonderful Lunar New Year!
Warm regards,
Brenda

Our young footballers showed off their skills at Kings Park on Tuesday in a Year 3/4 Football Tournament. It was great to see our players develop over the course of the day and learn so much about tournament-style football. All the boys and girls performed brilliantly and represented Kennedy School so well. We have a very talented group of students that we are very proud of.

Today, we held the Year 1,2,3,4 Sports Days and they are going really well! Tomorrow, the Year 5 and 6s take to the field and they will determine which House takes the overall Sports Day Cup this year. Will Dragons win again? Find out more next week!
