Dear Year 5 parents,

Please click on the link below for our Snapshot of Learning with highlights of the Unit of Inquiry, Maths, and Language covered this term. We will look closely at the Stone Age and then research many different early civilizations using a range of sources.

Year 5 Snapshot of Learning

The students will then work on an individual project where they create an imagined civilization display and present this to other students. They will share this with you via Seesaw.

Year 5 will have a ‘dress up as an ancient citizen’ day on May 17th where the students are invited to dress up and bring in an ‘ancient snack’ for a class feast.

We finish the term with a final look at ‘Who We Are’, our inquiry that we revisit during the year, looking at how we have been learning this year, our strengths and stretches, and creating targets as we progress into Year 6.
