Dear Parents and Caregivers,
What an unpredictable week it has been weather-wise, culminating in the red rain signal on Tuesday afternoon. We were so impressed with the students who followed our instructions immediately, stayed calm and well behaved whilst swifty moving to buses and other areas of the school at the close of day. Many thanks to the parents and caregivers who made special arrangements to pick up their children. We appreciate your partnership.
Year 6 Exhibition
Our Year 6 students are in the middle of their PYP exhibition and they are inquiring deeply into a passion or area of interest and taking action to make a difference. The support of the community is vital for students to see that they can advocate for change or take direct or indirect action to make a difference in an area of their choice. Please click on this link, which will take you to a folder with student action requests. This folder will be updated weekly, so please check back on Fridays to see what new requests there are. Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Dress-Up Day Tomorrow (24 May)
We look forward to seeing everyone in their favourite outfits tomorrow! We recommend a donation of $20 which will go to supporting the Year 1s.
The New Playground is Opening Tomorrow!
A small-scale opening ceremony will be held on Friday morning to officially ‘cut the ribbon’ to open the new Adventure Playground. PTA members and other parents who were involved in the design process have been invited along with the Year 2 children and staff.
The playground has been designed primarily for the Year 1 and 2 students. However, all students will get to use the playground as part of PE lessons and as a learning environment, outside of regular break times.
It is a super exciting addition to Kennedy School. Thank you for supporting PTA events over the years as these donations have helped to part-fund the project! It’s been a great community project. Photos to come!
Kind regards,
Brenda

To support this charity, a donation box has been placed in reception to collect unused hotel and flight toiletries. The box will remain in place till Tuesday, 11 June 2024.

Hello summer! In anticipation of the issues that come with hot and humid weather, please apply sunscreen and insect repellent on children before coming to school. Please read Nurse Brigette’s advice on how to apply these 2 items.

Join us in celebrating student creativity at our upcoming ESF Art Exhibition 2024
Colourful murals, imaginative sculptures and heartwarming portraits are just some of the amazing student creations featured in our ESF Art Exhibition 2024, which takes place at the prestigious arts venue Hong Kong City Hall in Central from 29 May until June 2.
This year’s theme - Faster, Higher, Stronger - was inspired by the upcoming Paris Olympics and is all about humans and their extraordinary power to achieve and strive to be the best they can be.
Across ESF, hundreds of our students from K1 to Year 13 have been hugely inspired and have created an outstanding collection of artwork spanning painting, digital art, photography, mixed media and more.
Don’t forget to visit the exhibits created by 18 Kennedy School students.
The venue address is:
Exhibition Hall, Hong Kong City Hall,
5 Edinburgh Place, Central.
The exhibition runs from Wednesday, May 29 until Sunday, June 2 (10.00 am until 7.00 pm from 29 May - 1 June) - and 10.00 am until 4.00 pm on 2 June.
For more information, call 2574 2351. Please do join us for this wonderful celebration of our students’ creativity and talent.
