Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the ESF Orchestra Jam at Shatin Junior School this week and to our sporting teams who competed in interschool tournaments. As always, we heard about the great enthusiasm, collaboration, challenge and sportsmanship. Well done everyone!
Year 6 Exhibition
With only one week to go, Year 6 are in full swing, preparing to share their learning and action with their parents and the rest of the school.
Please click on this link, which will take you to a folder with student action requests. This folder will be updated regularly so please check back to see what new requests there are. Any support you can give is greatly appreciated.
Stakeholder Survey Feedback
Thank you to the parents who completed the survey. The School Council Engagement Committee consisting of staff, parents and community members reviewed the data and would like to share the findings in this presentation. We are keen to speak with some parent focus groups to delve further into the data. Look out for an invitation to join one of these sessions early next year.
Year 4 Swim Gala
This is a new addition to the swim calendar. The swimming programme will now consist of an Annual Year 4 and Year 6 Swim Gala. We look forward to seeing the Year 4 parents poolside tomorrow.
Thank You to Our Committees
As we come to the end of the school year, I want to extend a huge thank you to Natasha Petit O'Connor, the Chair of our PTA, and Chris Geary, the Chair of our School Council.
They have led their respective groups with passion, drive and commitment, enabling us to provide an outstanding educational experience for our students and a strong community culture for everyone involved in the school.
The School Council's support has been particularly noteworthy, as they have helped us make significant strides in technology and innovation. By allocating resources to staffing, innovative resources, and devices, they have played a crucial role in advancing our progress in innovating learning and teaching through the use of technology which the students have just loved!
The PTA has fostered a strong sense of community spirit through various events and initiatives that have brought our school community together. They have worked collaboratively with the school to enhance provision and have funded some amazing 'extras' or what is often called the "cherry on the top" items which make a significant difference to our students' experiences at school.
We are really grateful for the dedication and contributions of everyone involved in these committees. Their tireless efforts have made our school an even better place for our students to learn, grow and be happy!
Kind regards,
Brenda

Aquathon
Our Aquathon students got the chance to take part in the HKPSSA Aquathon event on Wednesday at Kellett School. We took 3 teams of boys and girls to compete in the event. Well done to everyone for their dedication to the training practice with Mr Bogaerde and the swim coaches this year. Congratulations to Sofia Huang (6S) who took first place in a time of 9 mins 25 sec in the 250m swim and 1000m run.
Touch Rugby
Well done to our Year 5 students who took part in the touch rugby clinic at Kings Park on Thursday. This was a great opportunity for our students to hone their rugby skills in preparation for an exciting rugby season next year.
Year 4 Kennedy Swimming Gala tomorrow!
A reminder that parents are very welcome to attend our very first Year 4 Swim Gala at HKU Henry Fok Swimming Pool opposite our school. Parents should arrive at the poolside between 8.45 to 9.00 am. The spectator area for parents will be above the pool on the balcony with a great view of the finish line. The Swim Gala will run from 9.00 am to 12 noon and all of our students who have taken part in this year's swimming programme will have the opportunity to swim in at least two races. Students have been assessed by our Aquakidz swim coaches and will be swimming in races suitable for their swimming level.
The Year 6 members of the Kennedy Swimming Squad will also showcase their swimming skills as part of the Year 4 Swim Gala. Parents of the Year 6 Swim Squad may come to watch your child take part in the Kennedy Year 4 Swim Gala. I expect the Year 6 Swim Squad event races to take place between 10.20 to 11.10 am if you wish to come and watch.
