Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Camps have started!
Our Year 5 students headed off to camp on Wednesday and have been having a wonderful time experiencing new things, connecting with each other and enjoying the beautiful weather we have been having. We look forward to welcoming them back to school tomorrow and hearing all about their adventures. Year 4 are off for their first residential camp next week and we are sure they will have an amazing time too.
Fun-O-Ween
There was much excitement at school this morning as everyone arrived dressed in their Fun-O-Ween outfits. Have a look at the album to see what students came dressed as. Happy Fun-o-ween everyone!
Box of Hope
We would like to send a huge thank you to our school community for the massive effort given to help us organise Box Of Hope. The students enjoyed packing their own boxes and helping others. The Cub Scouts did a terrific job sorting out donations and worked extremely hard. Thank you to all parents who came and helped with the drive, and also to everyone sending in many items at the last minute to fill unforeseen gaps. The PTA also supported the drive at every stage. It’s been a wonderful whole school community drive and these boxes will make a huge difference to families who live in very difficult circumstances here in Hong Kong and abroad. Thank you to everyone!
Thank you again for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Debbie

Games is here!
Our Year 4 and Year 6 students are kicking off the Kennedy Games programme this week and the rest of school will start their Games sessions next week.
Games is a fantastic opportunity for your child to learn and develop their gross motor skills, team work and sporting ability through taking part in a wide variety of sports and fun physical activities.
Please see the reminders below about what your child needs to be ready for Games.
Please ensure that your child has a hat and water bottle as the weather is still very warm.
Games is taught by the class teachers, PE teachers and also with specialist sports coaches in upper years.
On Games days, students will need to wear their PE kit the whole day.
The Kennedy Games programme will run until the end of Term 2.
Please mark your calendar with the following Games schedule for each year group:
Year 1 - Every Tuesday starting on 5th November
Year 2 - Every Tuesday starting on 5th November
Year 3 - Every Wednesday starting on 6th November
Year 4 - Every Thursday starting on 31st October
Year 5 - Every Friday starting on 8th November
Year 6 - Every Friday starting on 1st November
Running Club
Students in Year 4 to Year 6 are enjoying being put through their paces in the morning running club on the track at HKU. Our students are developing their endurance and agility in the training sessions. Training starts at 7.15 am on the track - apart from next Wed, 6 November - when we will be running along the seawall behind HKU. If you are interested in registering your child for the running club please inform myself and Mrs Badri (tbadri@kennedy.edu.hk).

Well done Netballers!
This week our Kennedy netball Team performed really well in the second round of friendly fixtures against other Hong Kong Island Schools. Our team played five matches in total and won against Bradbury & Glenealy and lost against CIS, Kellett & QBS.
Thank you to Mrs Wood and coach Emily for their time and efforts in training the team.
Good luck to our Year 5/6 boys and girls football teams next week
Next Wednesday, we will take 4 football teams to TKO Training Centre as our 2 boys and 2 girls teams take part in the HKPSSA Football Tournament. This promises to be an exciting day of action for our students. Thank you to all of the coaches for your help in training our players.
Many families may remember Olivia Hyde (sister of Laurence Hyde), who graduated from Kennedy School two years ago. She has been performing as a soloist for many years now.
We are so excited to share with you that Olivia will be a soloist at the performance of “The Snowman and The Bear” with City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong on 21 December 2024.
She has also been selected as an ambassador for the Organisation Lumi Voce, which inspires and educates young people to protect wildlife and biodiversity through the power of music, arts, and education. Well done Olivia!
