Year 6 Camp |
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
It was great to see many of you last Friday night at the Kennedy School Quiz night which was such a fun evening.
This morning, 2 classes of Year 3 students were very excited as they took off on their day camp. Tomorrow, the other 3 Year 3 classes will also have their day out at camp.
Stakeholder Survey
You will have received an APP message on Monday inviting you to participate in the ESF stakeholder survey about Kennedy School. Both parents listed on the Gateway account will have received this message. We encourage you to take a few minutes to complete this survey as your feedback is invaluable in helping us continuously improve our school.
At the end of the survey, we are also seeking your input on our guiding statements: our vision, mission, and values. Your thoughts on what you love about Kennedy School, the value it adds to your child's education, your family, and your aspirations for Kennedy's future are important as we work to refresh these statements. Thank you in advance for your time and contributions.
New Part-Time PTA Administrator
Please join us in giving a huge welcome to Jackie Yang! She's joining Georgina Adams in a job-share role as our PTA Administrator, and we're so excited to have her. Together, with our fantastic PTA committee, they'll continue to create amazing opportunities for our school and community.
Celebration of Learning & Student-Led Conference Day - 18 March
Thank you for making your appointment bookings. We are excited to have you with us on this day. You will have already received this announcement through the school's app which has all the details. Students can wear casual clothes on this day if they wish.
Road Safety - Driving and Parking
A friendly request to those collecting children by car along Sha Wan Drive after school. Please ensure you park close to the car in front to make sure there is enough space for all families collecting children.
We have also observed growing concerns regarding driving behaviour around the school during peak times. With numerous children crossing the road and our staff working to ensure a safe exit, it is crucial that we all remain extra vigilant when driving.

Sports & Activities: Celebrating Student Achievements!
A huge congratulations to all our students who have been representing the school and their clubs! We are incredibly proud of your dedication and sportsmanship. We love hearing about all the wonderful competitions and your fantastic efforts.
Complaints Management System (CMS)
ESF values opportunities to engage with parents on issues impacting the ESF experience. Typically, these issues are resolved informally with the class teacher, Vice Principal or Principal. However, when matters remain unresolved and escalate to formal complaints, ESF aims to address them effectively and gain insights for continuous improvement. To this end, ESF has developed a Complaints Management System (CMS). The CMS features an online Complaint Form that parents can use to lodge formal complaints. This system is part of the updated ESF Complaints Policy accessible via the ESF App.
Warm regards,
Brenda

No need to RSVP, just come!

Well done Basketballers!
Last weekend, our Basketball teams played in the HKPSSA Island Basketball Tournament hosted by the French International School. Both our A and B grade teams performed really well amongst the highly competitive students from other international schools on Hong Kong island. Our A team secured 4th place and our B team took 2nd place in their respective tournaments. Thank you to Zeng Laoshi, coach Jason and Mr Bogaerde for getting the teams ready!
Running Friendly
On Tuesday afternoon, we took 30 runners from Year 4 to Year 6 to Happy Valley Sports Ground for friendly running races with ESF Glenealy School. Year 4s ran 1 lap of the Happy Valley running track (1.3 km), while Year 5 and 6 ran two laps (2.6 km).
Our students ran really well in humid conditions and won the races for Year 4 boys and girls, Year 5 boys and Year 6 boys races too.

Tag Rugby Jamboree
This morning (Thursday), we took a boys and a girls team to Happy Valley to play in the HKPSSA Island Schools Tag Rugby tournament. Our students were undefeated in the four matches we played in. Unfortunately, the very poor weather conditions led to the event being called off halfway.
The tournament was a great preparation for our players in the build up to the next tag rugby tournament which will be hosted by Kennedy School on Monday morning!
Upcoming Sports Events in Term 2:
Monday 10 Mar - Tag Rugby Tournament hosted by Kennedy School
Saturday 15 Mar - Year 3/4/5/6 Cross Country Running
Wednesday 19 Mar - Year 4/5/6 Hockey
Parents will be notified if your child is invited to participate in an event.
We look forward to seeing the performers’ parents at our Celebration of Music concert next Tuesday 11 March at 4.30 pm. Whilst the students will watch the performances during the school day, all are welcome to watch the final performance as it happens at 4.30 pm at the link below:
