Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Celebrating Dance
What a treat it was to see our talented Kennedy School students perform at the ESF Festival of Dance concert last night at West Island School! The evening was an impressive display of storytelling through dance, showcasing amazing talent from our primary schools, Jockey Club Sarah Roe School, and our secondary schools. It was inspiring to watch our students embrace dance as an art form and a means of creative expression. A huge congratulations to Mr Tang, our Expressive Arts teacher, for his outstanding choreography and rehearsals. We are also grateful to Mr Ron for his invaluable support in helping the children prepare for such a polished performance.
Our incredible cheerleading dance group brought their energy and excitement to all three assemblies this week! Mr. Crompton guided us through their impressive learning journey, culminating in a fantastic live performance. The routine was a blend of gymnastics, lifts, poses, and superb dance moves. It was so much fun to watch, and we're sure many students are now eager to join the Spirit Dance and Movement Club when it's offered again!
ESF Stakeholder Survey
In March 2025, all ESF stakeholders were invited to participate in the annual stakeholder survey. The survey was designed to help us better understand what we are doing well here at Kennedy School and what more we might be able to do to provide an even better education for our students.
The questions included a suite of scale response questions and two open-ended questions. The open-ended questions provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share what they think the school is doing well, as well as what could be improved.
The slides linked here summarise the survey results, with a single number being shown for each statement. This number is the total percentage of agree / strongly agree responses. In addition, a short summary of some of the themes emerging from the two open-ended questions is shared.
We are committed as a school to helping every student to be the best they can be, and the views of stakeholders, as communicated through the survey, will be used to inform our future planning.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to the survey.
Feedback on Lockdown Drill
On Monday, we successfully completed our lockdown drill. The students were calm and sensible and the teachers were impressed.

Year 4 Swim Gala Updates - Friday 20 June
We look forward to welcoming as many parents as possible to the Year 4 Swim Gala on Friday 20 June from 9.00 to 12 noon at HKU Stanley Ho Swimming Pool. Parents should go directly to the spectator area on the balcony with a great view of the finish line between 8.45 to 9.00 am.
All the Year 4 students will swim on the day in events selected by the swim coaches based on their abilities shown in this term's swimming block.
The Year 6 Swim Squad will also showcase their swimming skills between 10.20 to 11.00 am. Parents of the Year 6 Swim Squad may come to watch the children swim at this time.
Please note that as students will be scoring points for their House, it will be helpful if the swimmers wear swim hats in their House colours.
Please see the information booklet below for a full rundown of the event:

Sports Teams News
We took two strong boys and girls teams to the HKPSSA Aquathon Challenge last Saturday at ESF KGV School. They demonstrated their hard work and sportsmanship throughout the event, which was fantastic! Big thank you goes to everyone for their dedication and commitment to the training sessions led by Mr Bogaerde and our swim coaches this year.
Well done to all our Kennedy Aquathon athletes for their incredible efforts and teamwork this term. Please see the collated results for our Aquathon teams at Kellett and KGV here.
Cricket Friendly Match
Last Thursday, our 3 Kennedy Cricket teams (A, B and C) played friendly matches against ESF Glenealy School. We had some very close matches with our A team losing by 21 runs, our B team winning by 15 runs and our C team losing by 14 runs. Thank you to Mr Lynch and Mr Kruger for your support with training our girls and boys to play in competitive matches. Our batting, bowling and fielding skills have really improved in the time that our players have trained together, and this together with our Kennedy team spirit makes our teams so successful.
Go Year 6 Footballers!
Tomorrow (weather permitting), Year 6 boys and girl footballers will play in friendly football matches against Year 7 students from West Island School. These matches will take place on HKU Pitch 1 from 9.00 to 10.15 am. Parents and caregivers are welcome to come along and support the students. Good luck to our 4 teams!
Good luck Kennedy Cheer Squad
Our Dance and Movement Club will have now finished their training and are prepared for their final performance at ESF Glenealy School next week. Thank you to all of the staff who have given up their time to help to provide the fantastic sporting opportunities we offer at our school. Go Kennedy!

Well done to budding footballer Rikya Kikutake (5M) whose team, Japanese Football Club, won the ASA Cup football championship! It was a great experience for him, and we are all very proud of his achievement.
