Celebration of Learning and 3-Way Conference - Thursday 2 October 2025
Get ready for one of our favourite days of the year—a unique opportunity for you and your family to connect with your child’s teachers and explore our school! On Thursday 2 October, we are opening our doors for a special event designed to bring our community together.
On that day, we invite you to step into the classroom, have a meaningful discussion with your child's teacher, and get a closer look at what makes their learning journey so special. Talk all about your child's progress and the amazing work they are doing.
This isn’t a day for formal classes; it is a day for connection. Your child will attend with you for a dedicated session, so please plan to stay with them for about 60 to 90 minutes. No buses will run on this day as everyone will be coming at different times. Also, no school lunches.
To make sure everyone has a fantastic experience, your family will be scheduled for a specific session. Please book your time slot now (for parents with multiple children) and from Monday at 8.00 pm (all other parents). Check the APP for messages on how to do this.
That’s not all! Our school library will be hosting a Book Fair on the same day. It is the perfect opportunity to browse a great selection of books and choose some new favourites with your child.
We can’t wait to welcome you and your family for a day of community, conversation, and books!
Mid-Autumn Lantern Competition
We hope families are getting together to work on their submission for our Family Recycled Lantern Competition! The deadline is 22 September. Contest details HERE.
Kind regards,
Brenda

Staff-Run Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) Information
All our staff-run ECAs have kicked off positively this week. It is encouraging to see that more than 360 registrations and active participation in various sporting activities both in the mornings and afternoons.
This morning, we ran our first mixed Y5/Y6 girls and boys football club session. The energy was electric as the students came together, eager to play! They engaged in fun drills and friendly matches, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. We are looking forward to building on this positive momentum in the coming weeks.
We are very excited about these activities and look forward to creating more memorable experiences for our students that promote teamwork, skill development, and a healthy lifestyle for everyone involved.
A big thank you in advance to all the staff involved for offering these valuable healthy learning experiences to our students.
Important Notes - Please check where and when the clubs will be taking place. Also, we aim to give everyone as much notice as possible in the event of poor weather. For example, we will do our best to let everyone know by 6.15 am on the morning of a before school club if it needs to be cancelled.
Next week's Swim Schedule:
Well done sisters Colette and Clotilde Bonnet-Souvannavong!
Colette 2N and Clotilde 5P recently fought at the COPA DE HK, the biggest Jiu Jitsu competition in Hong Kong, and brought back 1 Gold (Clotilde) and a Bronze (Colette). They showed a lot of courage and grit and are very dedicated to their passion. Your family and teachers are very proud of you both.

PJ Day Fun & Fundraising Success!
Last Friday, students across the school dressed in their cosiest pyjamas and dove into their favourite books, all thanks to Year 5’s leadership in organising a fabulous Dress-Up Day!
The event raised an incredible $13,247.20, and Year 5 are now buzzing with excitement as they research how they’d like to spend the funds and what kind of experience they’d love to create. Ideas are flying, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported this joyful initiative.
