Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Weather Warnings
Due to the possibility of severe weather on Friday and possibly next week, we want to remind you of our inclement weather procedures. We are closely monitoring the Hong Kong Observatory's announcements and will follow our standard protocols for any weather warnings.
We've been informed that last time, the ESF schools' messages overloaded the App, causing some of you to receive our notifications with a slight delay. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause if it happens again.
Please remember that if a Red Rain, Black Rain, or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is issued while students are at school, bus services will be suspended. We will contact you with specific arrangements for picking up your children. We hope the Observatory will provide pre-warnings, which greatly assist us in our planning.
Parent Engagement: Upcoming Events
Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Parent Information Workshop - Chinese as a Native Language (online) and the coffee morning yesterday hosted by the PTA about supporting your child's social and emotional development guidelines & slides.
Our upcoming sessions include:
Thursday 18 September from 5.00 to 6.00 pm - Chinese as a 2nd language (CSL) & as an additional language (CAL) (Online)
Thursday 25 September from 6.00 to 6.45 pm - Relationships and Sexuality Education (Online)
Please visit the Parent Information Workshop Series for details. We will also link any recording of the session to this document.
Thursday 2 October 2025: Celebration of Learning and 3-Way Conference - Make your booking by Monday!
Get ready for one of our favourite days of the year—a unique opportunity for you and your family to connect with your child’s teachers and explore our school! On Thursday, 2 October, we are opening our doors for a special event designed to bring our community together.
Please ensure you have booked your time slot by Monday 22 September. Please check the previous APP for messages on how to do this. Our school library will be hosting a Book Fair on the same day. It is the perfect opportunity to browse a great selection of books and choose some new favourites with your child.

Here is the third installment of the PYP in Action Newsletter. Today, we are focussed on Curriculum in the Classroom
These and all issues will be stored in the PYP In Action Library.
We also have a library of presentations and video recordings of webinars conducted in the academic year 2024/25 on topics related to learning and how you can support your child HERE.
Digital Citizenship Art Competition
This year, we asked students to come up with a redesign of our Digital Citizenship Framework Wheel. All our entrants put in some amazing effort and our winner, Elodie Siu 5F, was no exception. We loved her attention to detail and how she had created her own slogans for each theme of the Digital Citizenship Framework.
Congratulations Elodie.
Here is a website of our shortlisted pieces plus our winning artwork.
