Year 6 Camp |

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Have you got your tickets and coupons for our Festive Fair yet? Join us for great performances, delicious food, fun activities, and something for everyone to enjoy! See you there! Check the PTA section for all the details.
A big thanks to families who donated to the Box of Hope charity. It was lovely to see the pride children showed in giving back to the community and how, as a school, everyone has embraced this initiative. I’m sure these special boxes will warm the hearts of children around HK.

Year 4 Camp was a huge success, with the students experiencing fun, challenges, and outdoor education skills in Sai Kung. A big thanks to you all for supporting this programme and to all the staff who attended to make this possible. We know everyone was ready for their home comforts on Friday night!

Our sporting prowess continued on the football field—the staff and parents were so proud of the boys' and girls' teams who showed great skills and fantastic sportsmanship! Thanks to all the coaches and supporters! Go Kennedy!
Technology Webinar: Healthy Holiday Habits (19 November 6.00 - 7.00 pm)
In our next Technology Webinar, we will discuss how to get prepared for the upcoming break, looking at the right time to introduce devices, ways to manage device use, and much more. Please look out for the sign up link which will be available HERE.
Inclusive Language: Neurodiversity & Disability – A Guide for Parents
At ESF and Kennedy School, we want every student to feel welcome, respected, and valued. We believe the words we use are important in creating a positive and inclusive environment for all children. This guidance for parents has been created by our Student Support team at ESFC is about how we can all work together to use language that celebrates difference and supports every child’s unique strengths. There is also a guidance for Students which we will share with the children.
Kind Regards,
Brenda

Over the last few months, we have been examining how we develop the Learner Profile attributes in the classroom. For the next few issues, we will start to examine the Approaches to Learning.

Whole School Dress Up Day: Clash of the Patterns - Friday 7 November
We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow dressed to clash! Wear stripes, polkadots, tie dye, plaid together with flowers, hats, bold colours and mix them up as much as possible. We suggest a donation of $20 which will go towards the Year 6s fund for something the whole year group can enjoy.

A Huge Thank You to Steak King!
We’re thrilled to welcome Steak King as our generous BBQ vendor! The team is bringing us hamburgers and hotdogs hot off the grill, and will also be selling premium cuts of meat to enjoy at home. All profits from the sales of hamburgers and hotdogs will be donated to the PTA.
We are so grateful for Steak King’s generous support.

We can’t do it without you.
This is the last chance to sign up Parent-child duos (For eg, Terry & Jake 1B) or for individual volunteering. Help run stalls, games, and activities! It’s a fantastic way to team up, spread some festive cheer, and create magical memories together.

Quiet Room at the Festive Fair & Concert
The Festive Fair & Concert will have a Quiet Room available for children or adults who may need a calm space away from the main action.
The room is available throughout the evening, with sensory activities and a peaceful environment. You can also borrow ear defenders here if needed.
To help us plan and ensure the space meets everyone’s needs, please pre-register if you think anyone in your family—including siblings outside of Kennedy School —might benefit from using the Quiet Room. Please email pta@kennedy.edu.hk
Festive Fair & Concert Accessibility
If anyone in your family requires specific accommodations for accessing our Festive Fair, or concerns around accessibility, please get in touch so that we can support. Please contact Cruz Macalligan at cruz.macalligan@gmail.com.

Kennedy Games
We have had a great start to our Kennedy Games programme this week and the weather has been on our side. Please make sure your child is wearing their Kennedy PE kit and has a hat to wear as it can still be very hot. On school dress up days like tomorrow, students still do PE and Games so please consider what outfit your child wears to school.
Please mark your calendar with the following Games schedule for each year group:
Year 1 & Year 2 - Every Tuesday
Year 3 - Every Wednesday
Year 4 - Every Thursday
Year 5 - Every Friday
Year 6 - Every Friday
HKPSSA Island School Football Tournament
On Monday 3 November, both our 2 girls and 2 boys teams performed exceptionally well at the HKPSSA Island Football Tournament. Our A team girls and our B team boys were worthy tournament winners on the day whilst our A team boys lost a very close final on sudden death. This goes to show that the effort and energy put into the morning training sessions is definitely paying off and our students are reaping the rewards of the opportunities they are presented with. Thank you to all of the members of staff for your help in training our players.

Thursday 20 November, from 3.00 to 4.00 pm, we will be hosting ESF Quarry Bay School for boys and girls football friendly matches on HKU’s Pitch 2. I will be in touch with parents involved in the friendly with all of the information necessary very soon.
Our next tournament will be on Thursday 4 December against HK Island and Kowloon side schools.
Well done Nathan Liao 3T
On 1 November, Nathan participated in Superkit Junior Golf Elite Championship. It was the Regional Finals for the Shenzhen Division and he secured first place.
Good job Charlie Warner 5R
Last weekend, Charlie competed in the Kung Fu Championships, obtaining 1st and 2nd runner up medals, and a medal for Merit. He competed in the highest snap kick and longest flying side kick, whilst he didn't win he did really well.
