Dear Parents and Caregivers,
A friendly reminder that tomorrow, Friday, is a Dress Casual day for all students, no donations required. Please also remember that school will be closing at midday (12:00 PM).
We wish all our special families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We hope you all enjoy your well-deserved break and have a chance to relax and cherish time with your loved ones. We look forward to seeing everyone back when school resumes on Monday, 5 January 2026!
Thank you for your support for the We Stand With Tai Po - ESF Fundraising Day. All ESF schools and offices joined this united effort to raise as much money as possible to help those whose lives have been so drastically impacted. All funds collected will be donated directly to the Hong Kong Government’s Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. Donations can still be made through this QR code. Year 3 Chinese Assembly
What a lovely assembly we had yesterday with the year 3 children showing off their talent in singing, rapping, dancing, drama, poetry and stories all in Chinese! Many thanks to families for coming to the performance - we hope it made your morning! A huge thanks to all of our wonderful Mandarin Department for putting together such a great performance.

Football Championships
Last Thursday, our Y5/6 Football Teams participated in the HKPSSA Football Championship to decide on the overall winners for the HK Island and Kowloon schools. Our boys and girls played very well with the Boys A topping the group with big wins against ESF Glenealy, Bradbury, Kowloon Junior and Harrow International Schools. The only goals we conceded were in the semi finals against eventual Champions DBIS. On the girls' side, we defeated Harrow, DBIS and RCHK with close defeats against Clearwater Bay School and Chinese International to take 3rd place overall.

Term 2 Clubs
There is still space available in our Racquet Sports Club, Basketball, Tag Rugby, Hockey and Netball clubs. Please speak with your child about the opportunities on offer and complete the registration as necessary. We have also decided to open our Hockey Club to Year 4 students as well as Year 5 and 6 boys and girls, please sign up on Gateway as soon as possible. The closing date for sign ups is Monday 5 January at 12 noon.
Well done Faidra and Tanya
Faidra Hon (4O) and Tanya Chan (4K) recently participated at the ESF Sharks Swim Gala events for 7-8yrs old girls on 6 Dec 2025. Faidra finished in 2nd place for the 25m Freestyle and 1st place for the 25m Backstroke. Tanya won first place and received gold medal for the 50m breaststroke race.
Good job Faidra and Tanya!

Go Girls Gymnastics!
This talented group of six amazing girls from Year 1 and Year 2 recently participated in the iGym International Gymnastics Youth Meet. They were supported by the coaches from ESF Explore. The girls are:
Hailey Kwan 1M, Esther Wang 2R, Maia Isaacs 2D, Alessia Chung 2T, Nia Pang 3K, Hadassah Yiu 3T
Keep it up Isla!
Isla Mulholland (4D) is currently cricket training with the girls U11 Rebels team at HKCC. This will provide her with good experience in Term 3 when we start our Kennedy cricket club which will be open to boys and girls from Year 4 to Year 6.
This holiday season, if you're travelling to your home country, consider donating a picture book in your native language to our library. Your contribution will enrich our collection and celebrate our wonderful diversity!

Note From the Chair
Wow, what a term it's been! Looking back on these jam-packed 4 months, it's amazing to see what we have accomplished. From coffee mornings, dress-up days, pre-loved uniform pop-ups, East Wing roof and the Festive Fair! As proud as we are of all we have done, what we are more thrilled about is the spirit of our fantastic Kennedy community and volunteers. Our people make the difference, and you have all shown your support and thoughtfulness by coming together especially in these recent difficult weeks.
We have exciting projects and events lined up for next term, especially the ever popular Quiz Night on Friday 6 March. We can't wait for all the fun to come!
From all of us at the PTA, we wish you and your family the very best festive season and a very happy New Year.
East Wing Roof - developing nicely
A huge thank you to parents Lorna Wilson, Jackie Chien, and Olivia To for their wonderful support in developing our East Wing Roof Top quiet haven.
Here’s what we’ve achieved together so far:
4 bean bags filled and are super comfy
2 storage compartments assembled and stocked
More crates added for imaginative play
Beautiful seating freshly painted
This space would not have come to life without your help!

Sweet Surprises from Santa!
Santa and his two cheeky elves brought extra joy to Kennedy School — with a little help from the PTA! Together, they gifted mini tasty candy canes to year 1 and 2, spreading smiles and festive cheer all around.
What a magical way to celebrate the season!
Uniform Donation Request
We kindly ask families to donate any unused uniforms in good condition, to the PTA Space. Many parents are looking for pre-loved uniforms for their children, and your contribution will make a big difference.
Donations can be dropped off at the PTA Space. If the Space is closed, please leave them at the Reception. Thank you for supporting our school community!
PTA Space is Back open on Wednesday 7 January 2026.
